VNY continues to build awareness and preparedness through ongoing emergency management training and exercise programs. So far in 2019, VNY has held four exercises with the most recent on Tuesday, June 18 when VNY hosted a Trunk Top Training disaster exercise at LAFD Air Operations, Fire Station 114. The exercise included Van Nuys Airport Operations, Airport Police, Public Relations, the Los Angeles Police Department, Customs and Border Protection, Clay Lacy, Signature, Jet Aviation and the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD). The exercise was facilitated by Mike Johnson and Oscar Scott, LAFD, and Devin Feldman, LAWA APD, and was coordinated by Anna Burton, LAWA Emergency Management.
